Summit Smash Repairs Invitational Barrel Race
Some of the Monaro’s most well known and respected identities competed in this year’s Summit Smash Repairs Invitational Barrel Race. Unlike an ordinary barrel race, it wasn’t the clocks that decided the winner. It was the cheers of the crowd. Each competitor was encouraged to do anything they felt would earn them the cheers of the crowd.
This year our winner was Mr?? Johnny McMahon. Johnny obviously went to some trouble to organize his outfit. His pony wore dark glasses so other horses would not recognize her. Bailey’s Mail Contracting threw in a small donation which took the total amount to just over $200. The Monaro Early Intervention Service was Johnny’s choice of charity.
What will the Rodeo Committee be doing in 2011 to make this a unique event?
